UNLV football GPA on the rise

The grade-point average of UNLV’s football team rose from a 2.35 in the fall semester to a 2.7 for the term that recently ended, coach Tony Sanchez said. He also said 11 players made the Dean’s List.

Sky Sox strike early in 11-1 rout of 51s

Tyler Cravy pitched eight sharp innings, and Colorado Springs totaled nine extra-base hits among its 19 hits as the Sky Sox routed the 51s 11-1 in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday at Cashman Field. Cravy held Las Vegas to one run on five hits and two walks and struck out five.
