Charges dropped against teen in fatal North Las Vegas shooting

A murder charge against a 16-year-old boy accused in a shooting death in a drug deal gone wrong was dropped Tuesday, according to the North Las Vegas Justice Court. Patrick Wayne Harper, 16, was arrested at Mojave High School on Sept. 11 after the Sept. 5 killing of 20-year-old Andrea Lafon in what police said was a drug deal gone wrong.
