Longtime veteran automotive expert Alex Estay has taken over the newest Mazda dealership in Las Vegas: Planet Mazda at 6950 W. Sahara Ave.
Estay has run a number of dealerships during his career, including stores in Nevada, Arizona and California.
He will take on multiple roles and continue to lead Centennial Mazda and Centennial GMC Buick, in addition to his new role at Planet Mazda.
Estay also announced that Tim Beyer is the new general sales manager at Planet Mazda. Beyer is a 30-year automotive professional, who attended Temple University on a football scholarship.
Planet Mazda carries the complete line of Mazdas, including the new 2014 Mazda3, “which I believe is the finest automobile in its class,” he said.
Estay added, “I am excited about the opportunity to lead this great store. Right now, Mazda offers outstanding performance and incredible efficiency. The Mazda CX-5 was the 2013 J.D. Power highest-ranked vehicle among compact CUVs (sport vehicles). Mazda was also named the lowest-cost-to-own brand for 2013 by Kelley Blue Book. By offering strong incentives and substantial prices reductions, we will be a sure bet on car shopper car buying lists.”
Mazda is a Japanese automaker producing a full line of vehicles in the U.S. Even though the company was founded in 1927, it did not start producing cars until 1931. Entry into the U.S. began in 1970 with the RX-2.
Planet Mazda sits on a 3.5-acre site, offering 19,358 square feet, including a showroom, service and parts departments. It opened in June.
Along with new cars, Planet Mazda offers a selection of preowned vehicles, service, parts and financing.
It is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Call the dealership at 702-538-7000 for additional information.
