Chapman Chrysler Jeep holds vehicle show, barbecue

Chapman Chrysler Jeep in the Valley Automall held its first annual Big Bad Jeep Show on May 10.

The well-attended event was full of custom Jeeps, complimentary barbecue meals, live music by local group Thrillbilly Deluxe, an awards show and prize and cash giveaways.

“As the Jeep headquarters of Southern Nevada, we are thrilled to host events at our dealership that give patrons a chance to show their Jeep while having a bit of fun,” said Chapman Chrysler Jeep General Manager Gary Brewer.

Activities throughout the event included live music, hamburgers and hot dogs, multiple Jeep vendors and raffle prizes. Individuals were encouraged to enter their Jeep vehicle for the chance to win up to $500 in cash. Trophies and cash prizes were awarded for first, second and third place, the People’s Choice award and one lucky winner took home Chapman’s Special Edition WTF award for having the craziest custom Jeep.

Patrons were able to purchase raffle tickets to win Jeep-specific prizes, including light bars, a winch, seat covers, recovery kits and wheels.

Participating vendors included Or-Fab, Garvin Wilderness Racks, DV8 Off-Road and Rockslide Engineering, Rugged Ridge, AEV, Hostile, Trasharoo, Daystar, Pro-Comp, Smittybilt, Bull Dog Lighting, Surprise Straps and Husky Liners.

“As the host and sponsor of the local Desert Wranglers off-road group, we have a large following of Jeep enthusiasts and what better way than this to bring all groups together,” said Chapman Chrysler Jeep parts manager Nate Plemons, lead organizer of the event. “We’re always looking to create Jeep-specific events to differentiate our dealership from other locations.

“Our store is specialized in helping the Jeep customer and we really want to showcase that by putting on an event for both enthusiasts and the general consumer who may not be as familiar. It was a great day and a lot of fun was had by all.”
