Chapman Dodge sponsors sports Henderson gymnastics team

First soccer, then golf and now sport aerobics — Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram takes its community relations sponsorships seriously. Family-owned and operated, Chapman Dodge is a longtime supporter of local sports teams across the valley.

This month, Chapman Dodge is supporting the only sports aerobics youth team representing the United States: The Larry Lake’s Gymnastics team based in Henderson. Sports aerobics is a choreographed routine that showcases gymnastics, dance, fitness and unique talent all in one routine that is judged by peers from around the world. Led by the director of training and three-time world champion Stephanie Furstahl —the USA’s only certified instructor — the team is ready to take on the competition at Red Rock Casino Resort.

“The support from Chapman Dodge means a great deal to me and the team. Their willingness to step up directly benefits us in so many ways,” Furstahl said.

Competing for three medals at the end of the month, Chapman Dodge has committed to donating $500 to the U.S. team for every medal they win up to $1,500. The donation will help fund expenses incurred for travel and team uniforms.

“This is a unique opportunity to not only help bring awareness to sport aerobics but to also help motivate our own athletes from right here in Southern Nevada,” said Don Hamrick, general manager of Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.
