Five dealerships support Make-A-Wish

Five Las Vegas Valley dealerships recently teamed up to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Despite a tough economic year, each dealership -- Acura of Las Vegas, Centennial Buick Pontiac GMC, Henderson Nissan, Planet Hyundai and Planet Nissan -- fulfilled a promise it had made at the beginning of 2009 and donated $5,000 to the wish-granting organization for children with life-threatening illnesses, for a total of $25,000.

"The Make-A-Wish Foundation is such an admirable organization, we feel that we are the ones benefitting most from the opportunity to help them continue to grant wishes," said dealership member Tom Letizia.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation presented the dealerships with a certificate on Feb. 1 at the Centennial Buick Pontiac GMC dealership, located at 6501 Centennial Center Blvd. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 95 and Las Vegas Beltway in the northwest.

"When it comes to children, the more we give as a community, the more we give to our community's future," Letizia said.
