Friendly Ford to host ‘Survivor’ show casting call Saturday

Fans of the CBS-TV show “Survivor” will have an opportunity to audition for the hit series at an open casting call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Friendly Ford, 660 N. Decatur Blvd.

Because of the anticipated turnout, prospective contestants must be in line at Friendly Ford no later than 2:15 p.m. in order to audition.

“We’re really looking forward to this event tomorrow,” Jason Davis, Friendly Ford general manager, said. “We are huge ‘Survivor’ fans here at Friendly Ford, and we know this casting call is going to bring out a whole lot of interesting people.”

Saturday’s event at Friendly Ford is the only “Survivor” casting call that will be held this year in Southern Nevada. Contestants must be United States citizens, 18 years of age or older at the time of the audition, and currently living in the United States.

KLAS-TV, Channel 8, will be on hand to record the individual auditions.

Each contestant will have one minute in front of the camera to show and tell why he or she should be on “Survivor.”
