Thomas O’Neill, a room chef at Texas Station, recently purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra from Planet Hyundai Centennial at 6200 Centennial Center Blvd. in the northwest valley.
It was his second purchase from a Planet dealership; in 2006 he bought a new Tiburon.
He said the decision to return to Planet Hyundai Centennial was a simple one.
“I had the Tiburon to trade in, and I had a good experience with Hyundai before,” said O’Neill, a Philadelphia native who has lived in Las Vegas for 10 years. “I liked the Hyundai vehicles and heard that the Elantra was both affordable and a good deal.”
He said the Tiburon was an excellent car and was confident in the product .
“It was a very good car and I never had any problems with it whatsoever. I went to California a few times and got 25 to 27 miles to the gallon for gas.”
He said the Elantra sport had many advantages.
“I really needed a family car. It has great fuel efficiency, and I don’t have to worry because of the excellent warranty that Hyundai offers. I just feel very comfortable with the car.”
O’Neill said the car’s style also was a strong selling point.
“It’s very sleek and I got a black Elantra so it really appeals to me. It’s just a very nice car. All I care about with a car is that when I wake up in the morning it starts. This one has so many features including the Bluetooth.”
O’Neill said he also likes the car’s interior.
“The interior is very comfortable and, at 6 (foot) 1 (inch), I’m a big guy. It’s spacious with plenty of room for all of us,” he said.
O’Neill also praised his sales consultant, David Spence, along with the rest of the staff at Planet Hyundai.
“They made it fun and gave me a great deal,” O’Neill said. “Hyundai is now offering a buy-back program. The flier that was mailed to my house is what brought me in. I simply couldn’t turn down the offer.”
Each Hyundai purchased includes a 10-year, 100,000-mile engine warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
“It’s very rewarding to see returning customers. It reinforces the fact that our staff treat our customers properly and has them returning when they need a vehicle despite having so many shopping options in town,” said Ron Coury, co-owner of the dealership. “Planet Hyundai enjoys award-winning customer service ratings, and Mr. O’Neill’s return to our dealership evidences the fact that we treat our customers like family and our employees are representing us in the best possible light.”
Planet Hyundai is part of a group of locally owned and operated dealerships that includes Planet Hyundai Sahara, 7150 W. Sahara Ave., and Planet Hyundai Used Car Super Store, 7100 W. Sahara Ave.
