Wagon Trail RV, at 4488 Wagon Trail Ave., is holding its second annual open house now through Sunday.
Area residents are invited to visit between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day to meet with factory representatives from manufacturers such as Airstream, Leisure Travel and Triple E RV, who will explain manufacturing methods and operation of Class B motor homes.
The dealership, which deals exclusively with Class B motor homes, has exclusive agreements to represent manufacturers such as Airstream, Dynamax, Leisure Travel, Pleasure-Way, Phoenix Cruiser and Triple E RV.
During the open house, Wagon Trail RV will display several models, including the new 2013 Leisure Travel Unity Murphy Bed, which has taken the recreational vehicle industry in a new direction, said a dealership spokesperson. The manufacturer's flagship model has a Mercedes-Benz chassis, coupled with a V-6 turbo diesel engine capable of delivering 16-20 mpg. It is 24 feet, 6 inches long, allowing it to drive through most state parks, campgrounds and parking lots with ease.
Interior features include a queen-size Murphy bed, pop-up 26-inch light-emitting diode television, corner shower with curved-glass doors and skylight, and cherry or natural maple cabinetry.
There are two floor plans available offering reclining leather theater seats or a U-shaped dinette.
The manufacturer offers a two-year, 24,000-mile warranty for the coach. Mercedes-Benz offers a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty on the chassis and a five-year 100,000-mile warranty on the engine and transmission.
The dealership was named the No. 1 Leisure Travel Class B dealer in North America for the second year in a row.
Class B motor homes are built on different chassis. In addition to Mercedes-Benz, it offers those built on Chevy and Ford chassis.
Owner Phil Rizzio has been an RV enthusiast since the late 1960s. He said he started the dealership with one goal: to redefine the RV experience.
Rizzio said he looks forward to meeting with people at the open house and sharing his experiences.
John Chelist is the dealership's general manager. He has been involved with the manufacturing and sales of Class B RVs most of his life. He was a national sales representative for Chinook and Pleasure-Way before becoming general manager of Van City in St. Louis.
Besides offering custom-built motor homes, the dealership can arrange for 20-year financing and handles all necessary paperwork, including registration, for Southern Nevada residents. It also offers a fly and buy program for out-of-state customers.
