Watching the big fish chase the little fish apparently takes some of the stress out of waiting for a room to come to the rescue, and readers again tabbed this lobby as their favorite. Main St. The turn-of-the-century elegance of this downtown property is perhaps best exemplified by the old-fashioned lobby that features a massive, carved-wood check-in desk, potted plants and comfortable chairs when there's a wait. And instead of one of those plastic credit cards you get a real door key that can be left behind in its own slot behind the desk. What a concept. |
