EAT AND DRINK
DeliReaders' Pick: CELEBRITY DELI4055 S. Maryland ParkwayWith quality deli food and all those vintage photos of entertainers on the wall - hey, is Jerry Lewis eating here again? - it's easy to understand why readers gave first place to this desert slant on New York's Carnegie Deli. Owners Stanley Schwartz and Nancy Quaranta produce the show and $8.95 sandwiches such as "Stan's Special" with pastrami, turkey, roast beef, Russian dressing and coleslaw. Samueli's, a well-run and authentic New York City-styled deli in Green Valley, finished second. Our Pick HARRIE'S BAGELMANIA855 E. Twain Ave.Harrie's is not flashy and, truth be told, we're on a budget because of some recent losses playing casino stocks. But we are certain that Circus Circus stock is going to ... oops, getting off track here. We like Harrie's sandwiches and the cozy feel of this 70-seater where we can lunch and quietly curse the financial news in today's Wall Street Journal.
