EAT AND DRINK
Happy HourReaders' Pick: TGI FRIDAY'S1800 E. Flamingo Road4570 W. Sahara Ave. This national chain first made its mark as a singles bar, and low-priced drinks during post-work happy hour remain a good value and can perhaps generate enough booze-fueled courage to say hello to that pretty woman standing all alone in the corner. I know she's looking at me! The cheap booze sessions at Outback Steakhouse outlets were impressive enough with voters for them to cast enough ballots for a second-place finish. Our Pick: MOOSE McGILLYCUDDY'S4770 S. Maryland ParkwayThis popular and casual beef-and-brews outlet is mainly frequented by nearby University of Nevada, Las Vegas students. The after-school drinking sessions are cut-priced and often filled with young folks learning the art of mixing food and alcohol. Yeah, we're a little old for this scene but go anyway just to see if students continue to look through us as if we were made of Saran Wrap. Oh well, let's order another round on me.
