Japanese Restaurant

Readers' Pick: OSAKA JAPANESE RESTAURANT

4205 W. Sahara Ave.
This long-running Japanese eatery has just about everything, from skilled Japanese chefs and tatami rooms to a counter sushi bar with a varied menu that's priced just right for the voters who made it No. 1 this year. The restaurant recently opened a second outlet, the Osaka Nouveau in Green Valley. Second place went to the Tokyo on the east side of the Strip on East Sahara Avenue.

Our Pick: KABUKI JAPANESE RESTAURANT

1150 E. Twain Ave.
This great little Japanese outlet is kind of hidden amid more elaborate new projects, but we always enjoy the tempura platters and imported beers served (with sushi too) at a fun place where the kimono-wearing waitresses are always smiling.
