EAT AND DRINK
Power Lunch![]() Readers' Pick: CAFE NICOLLE4760 W. Sahara Ave.Show up fashionably late and you can show off your sharp sports car to those patrons already lingering at outdoor tables; the pretty indoor area is the choice when the weather is rough. The quality dishes here are well-mixed to satisfy most every craving, and the tables provide enough distance between them to discuss private matters without distraction or eavesdropping. The cafe is classy but not over-the-top pretentious, thus impressing business types who want to make a good, not overbearing impression to help seal that big deal. The far more modest Romano's Macaroni Grill took second place with power-hungry voters. Our Pick: FROGEEZ ON 4TH300 S. Fourth St.This is Andre's owner Andre Rochat's newest project - a moderately priced French bistro with bakery and a full menu plus rotating French specialties such as beef bourguignonne, roast chicken and, on occasion, seafood paella. The nicely appointed downtown eatery, run by Rochat partner Mary Jane Jarvis, has plenty of fine French wines and homemade baguettes to accent the food and sop up any leftover sauces. Try to avoid sopping during major meetings but still check out a cool place frequented by Las Vegas attorneys, judges and other hard-working denizens of the downtown area.
