Sandwich ShopReaders' Pick: SUBWAY SANDWICHESMultiple locationsMaintaining a trend toward brand-name national franchises that are cleverly spread out across the entire Las Vegas Valley, voters picked Subway Sandwiches and its 14 stores as the places they run to when they want a quick meal of meats, cheese and trimmings between fresh-cut slabs of bread, wheat or white. The Port of Subs chain finished second.  Our Pick: CAPRIOTTI'S SANDWICH SHOP324 W. Sahara Ave.3981 E. Sunset Road This Delaware-bred shop found a tiny home just west of the Strip and we don't think there's a better sandwich anywhere, except maybe at the Green Valley branch. Ann Gwinn's hard-working staff prepares customized orders ("no onions, no mayo") to a T, and a big roster of excellent always-fresh sandwiches includes "The Gobbler," which is pretty much a Thanksgiving dinner (with stuffing and cranberry sauce) rolled inside a soft French roll. Everything else is equally rewarding, and remember that a "medium" from Capriotti's more than equals a "large" made by corporate-backed chains.
