Family Attraction

Readers' Pick: CIRCUS CIRCUS

2880 Las Vegas Blvd. South
R-J readers don their rose-colored glasses for a fond gaze at the original Las Vegas "family resort," with distractions ranging from high-flying circus acts to midway games -- and an entire theme park -- where kids can run riot. Circus Circus' family act proves you don't need high-tech to get high fives from kids -- and their parents. The pink-and-white-striped big top upstaged Star Trek: The Experience, which landed in second place.

Our Pick: GRAND SLAM CANYON

Circus Circus
Grown-ups may pooh-pooh Grand Slam Canyon's resident roller coaster, the Canyon Blaster, as too wimpy for words. But there's nothing worse than a roller coaster too big for the kids dying to ride it. Throw in log rides, laser tag and other kid-pleasin' pastimes and Grand Slam Canyon adds up to a great way to spend a day -- without having to say "No, you're not big enough to ride that yet" until you're hoarse.
