MicrobreweryReaders' Pick: GORDON BIERSCH BREWING CO.3987 Paradise RoadWith its strict German brewing guidelines and its 28-foot brew house, you can tell this place considers beer serious business. Whether you Review-Journal readers agree with that philosophy, we can't say -- but we can report that you think enough of this northern California import to name it your favorite, less than a year after its arrival on the Glitter City scene. Barley's Casino & Brewing Co. in Henderson bubbled to runner-up status. Our Pick: TRIPLE 7 BREWPUBMain Street Station200 N. Main St. Love those clever "Got beer?" billboards parodying the popular "milk mustache" ads. More importantly, we love what's behind those billboards -- a sassy attitude and inventive promotions (such as green eggs and ham on Dr. Seuss' birthday) that help make this downtown watering hole a magnet for locals. Whether it's sushi at high noon, Bluesdaycq Tuesday or buck-a-beer nights on Thursdays, there's more to this brew pub than the beer. Which, we might add, is pretty darn good, too.
