Best Place to People-Watch

COMEDIAN MARTY ALLEN

Comedy stand-up Marty Allen's got a shock of static-shocked hair, but he blends right in at the Forum Shops at Caesars, 3500 Las Vegas Blvd. South, which he pronounces the best place in town to watch people.
Allen needs to know where to find interesting faces and behaviors. His act relies on his ability to create distinctive characters such as the football player who's had one too many head injuries or the tipsy wine taster.
"Caesars mall. That's groovy," says Allen. In particular, he likes sitting on the patio of Spago's restaurant, watching humanity drift by.
When the Spago's host asks where Allen wants to sit, it's near the patio rail. "I say, 'Near the beach,'÷" Allen jokes.
"Everybody is memorable. You see all kinds. You get hysterical. You say, 'How did (that pair) ever get matched up?'÷"
