Best Hotel ArchitectureCASINO FOUNDER BOB STUPAK Bob Stupak is commonly thought of as a flamboyant guy. He founded the original Vegas World, with its three-dimensional astronaut figure clambering on the hotel wall.
Then he birthed the vision that led to the present-day Stratosphere, with its observation tower dramatically punctuating the otherwise flat Las Vegas skyline. But Stupak answers "The Mirage," when asked to name the best hotel architecture around. "It's still The Mirage (3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South), even if I did include (the Stratosphere)," he affirms. Stupak likes the "volcano, that's part of the architecture. The whole affair -- the tropical theme, the entrance, the palms."
