SINGER JOE WILLIAMS

     Jazz crooner Joe Williams has lived in Las Vegas almost 30 years, so believe him when he says he knows the best Southern cooking in town.
     "It's got to be Kathy's," he says without hesitation, in the velvety voice that has graced the American music scene for six decades.
     Williams is referring to Kathy's Southern Cooking, 6407 Mountain Vista St. in Henderson.
     "The fried okra, the catfish, the peach pie," Williams rhapsodizes.
     In addition to Kathy's food, the singer also enjoys the restaurant's atmosphere, which he describes as "completely relaxed. Completely. Totally."
