Readers' Pick: ARIZONA CHARLIE'S

  • 740 S. Decatur Blvd.
This is always a competitive category, with the voting as lively and hotly debated as the table talk around a 4 a.m. sober-up breakfast. This year, readers poached our staff pick from last year and scrambled onto the $2.49 ham or steak and eggs, available 24 hours a day -- which may explain why the Sourdough Cafe prevailed over second-place Palace Station and 15 other nominees, some of them cheaper but with more restrictive hours.

    Our Pick: ARIZONA CHARLIE'S

  •      We'd argue but our mouths are full. Whether it's a small steak or big slice of ham, the two eggs, hash browns and toast go down great, especially if you've been playing blackjack on nights when Charlie's gives you a six-pack of beer for a suited natural.
