Readers' Pick: SAN LORENZO

  • Texas Station
    2101 Texas Star Lane
It takes a lot of marinara sauce to supply the 16 places drawing votes in this category, but Texas triumphed. The San Lorenzo is a handsome room with modest prices -- pick your pasta for $6.99, or have it with soup and salad for $10 and still be able to afford the movies next door. Pasta Palace, its cousins at Palace and Boulder Stations, shared the honors for second.

    Our Pick: STIVALI ITALIAN RISTORANTE

  • Circus Circus
    2880 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Much in the way that Circus Circus' popular Steak House restaurant offers an escape from pink stripes and kiddies, so follows an Italian restaurant with marble floors and cherry-wood accents, just a cotton candy's throw away from Grand Slam Canyon. This one has an upscale feel without a price to match, and three separate rooms to enhance that chianti coziness.
