Readers' Pick: LANCE BURTON

  • Monte Carlo
    3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South
This was no sleight-of-hand victory for a longtime local favorite, who emerged decisively from the mist in front of a crowded field. We don't want to read the voters' minds -- that's Kreskin's bit -- but we can't help but wonder if more locals have seen Burton's show at $35 and $40 per ticket than his major competitors: Second-place David Copperfield at $75, and third-place Siegfried & Roy at $89.35 per ticket.

    Our Pick: LANCE BURTON

  •      With so many local magicians to pick from, it's amazing and mystifying that we would be so repetitious. Still, even Burton's competitive peers give him his due for taking his time and paying his dues over the years, emerging from a silent specialty act to a charmer who has an easy stage rapport with youngsters and a heartthrob status with the ladies.
