Readers' Pick: 'JUBILEE!'

  • Bally's
    3645 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Now that we're done talking about "Mystere," let us recklessly reverse direction and sing the praises of the traditional showgirl. The parade of feathers, sequins and skin helped make this city what it is, and the folks at Bally's recognized this by sprucing up their 15-year-old "Jubilee!" Readers decisively singled out the recostumed Bally's beauties. The Rockettes from "The Great Radio City Spectacular" stepped into second place.

    Our Pick: 'JUBILEE!'

  •      We just can't seem to disagree. While Parisian revues arguably belong to a bygone era, the sheer audacity of "Jubilee!" creates a timeless and still-unique vibe. The show celebrates "Girls, Girls, Hundreds of Girls," and even if the math is a stretch, the $3 million worth of improvements -- such as a large mirror descending behind the stage -- show them off wonderfully.
