Readers' Pick: LAS VEGAS HILTON

  • 3000 Paradise Road
Newer casinos have mimicked the "Mission Control" look of the Hilton's mega-book, but readers still feel like this is where the action is -- not to mention a few guys in velour sweatsuits. The similarly imposing tower of videos and blinking stats at Caesars Palace covered the spread for second.

    Our Pick: LAS VEGAS HILTON

  •      It's getting harder to park in the little back lot that once made this an equal-opportunity book for locals, but we still like the energy there. We'll quote this paper's own Super Bowl coverage, when a $500,000 money-line bet on Denver cost the Hilton a $1.5 million payout. "(Hilton president Dean) Harrold said he regards the bet as good advertising." Good sport, eh?
