Place to Make OutReaders' Pick: SUNRISE/FRENCHMAN MOUNTAINEvery town has its designated lovers' lane, a make-out spot that's secluded yet scenic, with an awe-inspiring view designed to get couples in the mood to ignore it and concentrate on other matters. In Las Vegas, that area is popularly known as Sunrise Mountain (but in reality it is Frenchman Mountain) -- and, because it's Las Vegas, the inspirational, neon-bedecked view seems especially glittery. It's a tribute to R-J readers that they noticed. More discreet readers made "home" their second choice for cuddling. Our Pick: VOODOO LOUNGE3700 W. Flamingo Road Not that we ever have the opportunity to take action on our picks in this category, but we can dream, can't we? A room with a view always gets our pulses racing, and the VooDoocq Lounge definitely qualifies on that score. Not only is it 41 stories high, it has cool black-lighted decor and performing bartenders who put on a show concocting "shrunken heads" and other lethal cocktails. Best of all, the VooDoo Lounge boasts an open-air balcony that eliminates a major make-out problem: fogged-up car windows.
