MuseumReaders' Pick: LIED DISCOVERY CHILDREN'S MUSEUMReview-Journal readers award another three-peat to a perennial favorite, proving they're young at heart. You certainly don't have to be a kid to have a blast at the Lied Discovery Museum, where imaginative interaction inspires reach-out-and-touch exhibits on science, technology, art, music and the mysteries of grown-up life. We're not sure where the giant bubble machine fits in the greater scheme of things, but who cares? In the runner-up slot: the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Our Pick: STAR TREK: THE EXPERIENCE3000 Paradise Road Dammit, Jim, we're lowbrows, not culture vultures! Which explains -- if anything can -- our choice of the "History of the Future" exhibit at the Las Vegas Hilton's elaborate new "Star Trek" attraction as our favorite local museum. But at least there's a smattering of fact with all the fiction, as information about real space exploration is presented side-by-side with the story of the USS Enterprise and its various crews.
