Readers' Pick: SUNSET PARK

  • 2601 E. Sunset Road
The sun never seems to set on Sunset Park's dominance in this category. Whether you love to jog, swim, play tennis, toss a Frisbee, roller skate, fish, climb trees or just lounge around, Sunset Park has plenty of room for your pursuit of happiness -- and, seemingly, everyone else's. And the recent arrival of the giant Tiki Head, which has found a home at Sunset Park after its banishment from the Tropicana, gives the place a distinctly Vegas-y vibe. Parked in second place: the cozy confines of Bob Baskin Park.

    Our Pick: HILLS PARK

  • 9002 Hillpointe Road
You'd think after being parked in front of a computer all day, we'd be anxious to get out and move around. Think again. We love being outside in the fresh air -- when it's not over the triple-digit temperature mark, that is -- as long as we don't have to do anything more strenuous than sit there and open our ears. Which is why we love Hills Park, a favorite outdoor concert spot where the sound of music -- from blues to bluegrass, jazz to classical -- provides a perfect excuse for being lazy.
