BEST OF THE WORST
Worst Casino Theme
3850 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Sitting under the tall shadows of a mock New York City, the Excalibur looks, well, outclassed. While it was once the only megaresort on its corner, the spired castle is now outdated in a town that churns out casinos faster than Disney churns out movies. Perhaps that's the problem. It looks too much like a Disney set. Ironically enough, second place went to the MGM Grand Hotel, which recently received a major facelift. The facade may look shiny and new, but the hotel's movie theme falls flat with voters.
