At Big Dog's the food is uniformly good, always deftly prepared and served with casual but efficient aplomb by cheery waitpeople. While repeat winner Big Dog's expands the basic bar food motif with salads, rotisserie chicken and items suitable to lighter eating, we never visit without downing a Wisconsin bratwurst and a homemade brew. PT's Pub, no stranger to Best of Las Vegas, placed a close second.
Our Pick: STEINER'S, A NEVADA STYLE PUB
8410 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Steiner's is a new addition to Las Vegas' drinking and dining scene -- it opened last May -- but it's already becoming a popular place for casual dining thanks to the bar food favorites given an upscale twist by talented chef Gary Leiser. Best of all, it's incredibly affordable, with prices for dinners ranging from just $6.95 to $12.95. While you're there -- and while we wouldn't recommend it as an accompaniment to your beer -- try Leiser's signature creme brulee.
