Place for Breakfast

Readers' Pick: INTERNATIONAL HOUSE OF PANCAKES

Multiple locations
Outside of hotels, it's hard to find a place for a hearty breakfast. IHOP fits the bill well with a full menu of pancakes, gargantuan omelets and a steady stream of much-needed coffee. In a repeat of last year's finish, Blueberry Hill takes the runner-up spot.

Our Pick: JAMMS RESTAURANT

1029 S. Rainbow Blvd.
We like Jamms for its unique omelets filled with such unusual ingredients as spinach and sun-dried tomatoes. The fried potato accompaniment is livened up with red peppers and onions, the flapjacks are huge, bread is baked in little flower pots, and -- get this -- they make their own oatmeal. What better way is there to break the fast?
