5675 W. Sahara Ave.
The wings at Hooters are good, we agree, but we can't shake the sneaking suspicion that it's the -- well, let's just call it the "environment" at Hooters that prompted you to choose the owlish eatery's wings as the city's best for the second year in a row. The breaded tidbits are served with a sauce that's a tad hot, but not unpleasantly so, and quite tasty. But it has nothing to do with the hot-panted waitresses. Really. PT's Pub and GameWorks tied for second.
Our Pick: THE TAP HOUSE
5589 W. Charleston Blvd.
The Tap House is sort of the R-J's home away from home, but even if it weren't, we'd still stop by for the homey tavern's wings, which are succulent, tasty and perfect for our pathetic entertainment budgets. Best of all, in a few more months we'll be able to begin enjoying our wings with a side of the brand-new, Art Modell-less Cleveland Browns. Woof, woof!
