The calypso-styled music, the lights, the netting and fish and giant shark residing in the dining room, the simple exuberance of the waiters and waitresses. It all adds up to one of the most fun places in town to savor the succor of the sea. (We like alliteration a lot.) Bix's took second place.

OK, we'll admit that we give Fellini's points at least partly for effort: It's hard to believe that the nicely appointed dining room with a piano bar once was a Shakey's pizza parlor. Fellini's has done such a good renovation job that we've even forgotten where the big-screen TV used to be. And, for living decor, check out the passing parade of big-time politicians, lawyers and other movers and shakers who frequent Fellini's.
