Lord knows Krispy Kreme has gotten oodles of media play since the chain's arrival in Las Vegas. But they really are the best doughnuts in town. The signature glazed doughnuts melt in your mouth, and if you're ever driving by and see the "Hot Donuts Now" sign in the window lighted, you owe it to yourself to stop in and have one of these tasty beauties warm. Coming in an almost transcontinental second place was Winchell's Donut House.

Now that we've raved on about the glazed doughnuts, we can't ignore the other examples of Krispy Kreme's artistry in dough. The raspberry-filled doughnuts are deliciously sloppy, the blueberry doughnuts offer a luscious take on the boring muffin, and the devil's food comes -- gasp! -- startlingly close to rivaling the chocolately succor of the Oreo cookie, which remains the gold standard for all chocolate baked goods.
