Applebee's racks up yet another Best of Las Vegas win as a great -- and, for Mom and Dad, affordable -- place to take the kids. Applebee's strives to create a kid-friendly atmosphere with kids' menus, things for kids to do to pass the time until the meals arrive and, best of all, food worthy of grown-up tastes that doesn't make Mom and Dad revert to ugly memories of childhood culinary horrors. Country Inn Restaurants placed second.

We really can't stress this enough: The food at Applebee's really is good enough for grown-up tastes. That's not always true at family-friendly restaurants. In fact, we sheepishly admit that we stop in alone occasionally to enjoy a real homestyle meal (i.e., one that involves a vegetable that isn't potatoes bathed in hot oil).
