2985 Las Vegas Blvd. South
It's gotta be the romantically cozy Fireside Lounge that makes you think of the Peppermill when you think romance. The food at the Peppermill is good, not that you'd care, we suppose, and the drinks are well-made and served generously, although you probably aren't concerned about that either when you're in midswoon. Sheesh. Just get a room, why don't you? Andre's French Restaurant came in second.
Our Pick: MANHATTAN OF LAS VEGAS
2600 E. Flamingo Road
Manhattan of Las Vegas is decorated in a sort of attractive Old Vegas motif. Service is attentive, but not obnoxiously so, and servers have a nice sense of timing so as not to interrupt those special moments. The booths are comfortable, with plenty of room for surreptitious under-the-table hand-holding, and the soft lighting is -- well, let's just say "flattering," which is increasingly important to us as the years roll by.
