Kenny Rogers' namesake barbecued-bird chain wins area poultry lovers' nod for the third straight year, thanks to tasty spit-roasted chicken and such down-home side dishes as creamy macaroni and cheese and luscious cornbread. Since last year's Best of Las Vegas, several outlets of the Boston Market chain -- last year's second-place winner -- have closed, helping to solidify what turned out to be Kenny Rogers Roasters' decisive win over this year's distant runner-up, Sonia's Cafe & Rotisserie.
Our Pick: SONIA'S CAFE & ROTISSERIE
3900 W. Charleston Blvd.
Nothing against Kenny, but for the fourth straight year we give our poultry-loving nod to Sonia's version of rotisserie chicken. We've never had a less-than-fine meal at Sonia's, and, as down-home as Kenny's side dishes are, they can't compete with Sonia's chicken and pasta salad and roasted potatoes. Add Sonia's salads, wraps and complete Mexican menu to the mix, and you can see why, when it comes to rotisserie chicken, we're happily set in our ways.
