It is one of those gems that could easily be overshadowed by all the neon if it wasn't so good. The Peppermill Inn Restaurant, 2985 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has been perking along for several years and still draws locals such as City Councilman and Metropolitan Police officer Michael McDonald. McDonald, a lifelong Las Vegan, says he first started eating there in the 1970s and little has changed. The food is still great and the staff makes you feel at home even though you're in the middle of one of the busiest boulevards in the world. His favorite menu items include the chicken fettuccine, chef salad, hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream and ławesome mud pie.˛
