Best Use of Las Vegas in TV or Movies

DANCER TOMMY TUNE

The star of the musical extravaganza ³EFX² at the MGM Grand may be relatively new to Las Vegas, but in a way Tommy Tune has been here many times before. At least, he's been to the Las Vegas presented on celluloid. Tune loves ³Meet Me in Las Vegas,² the 1956 movie starring Dan Dailey, Cyd Charisse, Lili Darvas, Agnes Moorehead and Jim Backus, with cameos by Paul Henreid, Lena Horne, Frankie Laine and Jerry Colonna. ³This is the all-time best,² Tune says. ³It has lots of singing and dancing, which is why I like it. Cyd has great legs and Dan is one of my favorites. I'm sending out postcards of me in ŒEFXı to my friends, and all I write is, ŒMeet Me in Las Vegas.ı ²
