This cozy room packs in locals and visitors alike, treating both to a strong, consistent lineup of touring funny guys and gals. As a bonus, notable headline-status laugh-getters -- among them Bobcat Goldthwait and Brett Butler -- show up from time to time for unannounced sets. You never know who you're going to see, but you know you'll laugh. The Improv at Harrah's came in second in the chuckle chase.

You can sign us up for the Riviera club, too. (Although, as Groucho Marx used to say -- and Woody Allen used to quote -- we're not sure we want to belong to any club that would have us for a member.)
