Readers' Pick: 'THE GREAT RADIO CITY SPECTACULAR'

Flamingo Hilton 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South And a-five-six-seven-eight ... oops, it's not "A Chorus Line," it's the high-kicking chorines of the Radio City Rockettes, stars of the Flamingo's long-running dinner show. Technically, these chorus-line veterans could be considered Las Vegas interlopers, considering their New York City origins. But Las Vegans -- and Review-Journal readers -- have taken them to heart, making these synchronized high-steppers a big winner over Bally's "Jubilee!" crew for the second straight year.

Our Pick: TAP DOGS

Stratosphere Tower 2000 Las Vegas Blvd. South Alas, these strapping Aussies -- six burly blue-collar guys in Blundstone work boots, pounding out rhythm and humor to the accompaniment of thundering live music -- were just too good for the room. They rocked the Stratosphere's Images Cabaret, attracting packed houses and standing ovations, until they got the boot last fall to make way for a sports book. All in all, a rotten way to treat the hottest dance troupe to hit town in years. Thanks for the memories, mates -- and here's hoping you'll be kicking up your heels back here soon.
