An intimate respite from Fremont Street Experience hurly-burly, Hugo's conjures an Old New Orleans ease that adds atmospheric flavor to its gourmet fare -- and reasserts its supremacy for the second straight year. The opulent food orgy at Caesars Palace's Bacchanal Room cooked up a distant second-place finish.

Our food-related fantasy getaways shift to chic '30s Paris at the Burgundy Room, where the artwork of Salvador Dali adds a soupçon of surrealism to the Continental cuisine, which includes a house salad swimming with crab and shrimp, filet mignon, rack of lamb and other special-occasion dishes. Another nice touch: there's a wider price range than in some gourmet rooms, which makes it easier to splurge on imaginative appetizers -- and/or flashy flambéed desserts.
