Sure, it has marble floors and comfortable couches and a multitude of flowers behind the registration desk. But something tells us there's another flower factor in this victory: "Fiori di Como," the $10 million glass chandelier floating over the Bellagio lobby. Is it a field of fanciful flowers? Upside-down parasols whirling in the wind? Whatever your theory, renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly's work -- which features 2,000 separate, rainbow-hued pieces of glass -- has taken its place among the ranks of only-in-Vegas attractions. That helps explain why the Bellagio's lobby more than doubled the votes of its closest competitor, the MGM Grand.
Our Pick: MGM GRAND

Ah, but the lion's not quite finished roaring -- not when we're here to praise its spacious registration area, highlighted by a vast video wall that beams previews of hotel attractions to passers-by in such detail you almost feel like you're seeing "EFX" for free. We've seen performances in this lobby. We've attended news conferences here. Indeed, we seem to stop by here every time we visit the MGM Grand -- if only because we tend to get lost in the cavernous Emerald City casino and we always remember Glinda the Good Witch's advice to Dorothy: "There's no place like home."
