Poker Room

Readers' Pick: BELLAGIO

3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South And then there were three. Las Vegas used to have two "serious" poker rooms -- Binion's Horseshoe and The Mirage -- but the new player in town just won all the chips. At 30 tables, it has one less table than The Mirage, but who's counting? Where the money goes, the players -- especially the big-money players -- follow. Yet with seven-card stud, Omaha and Texas Hold 'em games spanning several stakes levels, even low rollers can find a game to their liking. Don't count the old favorites out just yet, though: readers dealt Binion's a close runner-up hand.

Our Pick: BELLAGIO

We know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em -- and we fold 'em a lot more than we hold 'em. Either way, we can sink back into the plushly padded swivel chairs and check out the understated atmosphere at this swank poker salon. From the quiet click of chips changing hands to the murals depicting fanciful masked commedia dell'arte characters, this isn't exactly the usual Saturday-night game around the kitchen table.
