Readers' Pick: LAS VEGAS HILTON

3000 Paradise Road Ground control to Major Tom: This mammoth monument to the games people play may have a Mission Control look, but the atmosphere is a nice combination of the bustling and the relaxed, with plenty of big screens to catch the action and a snack bar for refueling during those long-haul sessions. Even better, there's an easy-access parking lot right outside, making it a cinch to dash in for quick bets -- assuming you're not tempted to sit and watch what happens to your hard-earned money. The Hilton notches its second straight win in this category; last year's runner-up, Caesars Palace, gets an instant replay this year.

Our Pick: CAESARS PALACE

3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South You can find big TV screens and high-tech odds boards at plenty of places, but Caesars has its own cool Vegas vibe, a dark, retro feel that's getting tough to find in this era of shiny new megaresorts. Even more importantly, the Caesars oddsmakers don't let all that opulence interfere with the business at hand. Minutes after this year's Super Bowl, they posted betting lines for next year's clash -- and their ahead-of-the-pack style extends to accepting big-bucks wagers that make some other sports book officials blanch. If you have a lot of money to bet, this is the place to lay it on the line. And even if you don't (welcome to the club), Caesars is still a great place to hang out and cheer. Now, if only they'd bring back those football-shaped chairs, we'd be in pigskin heaven.
