Video Poker

Readers' Pick: FIESTA

2400 N. Rancho Drive, North Las Vegas The self-proclaimed "Royal Flush Capital of the World" lives up to its title, according to Review-Journal readers. But the only thing better than the video poker might be the advertising campaign celebrating Fiesta's video poker prominence. Simple logic dictates that more people hit royal flushes there because more people play there. Whatever the reason, Fiesta definitely holds the winning hand over runner-up The Orleans.

Our Pick: THE RESERVE

777 W. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson We used to ignore those little charts on the video poker machines that tell you how many coins you're going to win when you hit a full house or a decidedly unroyal flush. But our expert advisers convinced us to be a bit more observant. And when we opened our eyes, we discovered some machines have lower payout schedules than others -- except at The Reserve. Whether it's deuces wild, double bonus or even the nickel machines the cheapskates among us like to play, every poker machine in the place boasts the highest payout schedule, enabling you to win the maximum on every hand. And that, to borrow the title of an Oscar-winning movie, is as good as it gets.
