Sunset Road, near Escondido Street
Day or night, you always see cars pulled off this little parking area north of Sunset Road, right in front of the runway where a plane lands or takes off every 90 seconds or so. But now we know what's going on inside those cars, and what the jets serve as a diversion for. Watch out though, a lot of tourists go there to take pictures -- of the planes, they say. Sunrise Mountain was the second choice of the few lovebirds who bothered to vote in this category.
Our Pick: LAS VEGAS DRIVE-INS
4150 W. Carey Ave.
The "passion pit" seems kinda corny in this day and age. But most big-budget movies nowadays are dumber than the cheapies that played drive-ins in the '50s, so there's better things to do than watch 'em. The drive-in used to be a tough place to get a little privacy, what with six screens surrounding a central concession stand. But a windstorm last year whacked the original screen, so it's a nice secluded place to park and tune the radio to the feature next door.
