The Boulevard Mall may not be the newest kid on the block but it has certainly kept up with the times through innovative security programs, for example, and remodeling projects. The shopping center also seems easier to negotiate than many of its brethren because of wide aisles and a lack of escalators to negotiate. The food court is another plus, offering shoppers plenty of choices besides typically blah fast-food. Fashion Show mall was next in the balloting.

While bigger and flashier seems to be the modus operandi for malls these days, the Fashion Show keeps plugging along in its own tasteful, subtle way. There are extraordinarily plump couches for resting weary feet, a food court with quality choices and room to move. During the holidays, this tourist-oriented mall is a sigh of relief compared to the congested shopping centers around town.
