These huge, warehouselike stores carry everything a pet could possibly want, need or chew on. They stock books, toys, treats, vitamins, shampoos and bags of dog food the size of small cars. They also sell live fish and birds, and some include on-site grooming, veterinary services and pet adoption centers. These are truly Rover's own version of the modern megastore. Finishing second was Petco.

Green Valley Pet Center is a 13-year-old, privately owned business that sells puppies, kittens, birds and more unusual animals such as ferrets. The pets come with a free veterinary exam and the store also guarantees the health of the animals; if not, your money is returned. The center also offers pet grooming (free for birds) and basic supplies for a variety of animals.
