Readers' Pick: ANGEL PARK GOLF CLUB

100 S. Rampart Blvd.
Readers apparently ignored the rather hefty practice fees based on how long one bashes away with that new cure-all driver, giving a collective nod to Angel Park for the second year in a row. It's a quality public facility that's equal to many private clubs. The range is brightly lighted for evening practice shots from natural grass instead of plastic mats. The night-friendly range at Callaway Golf Center finished a few strokes back.

Our pick: CALLAWAY GOLF CENTER

6730 Las Vegas Blvd. South
This is a great place to practice, with plentiful tee boxes at reasonable prices, putting and chipping areas, and even a clubhouse facility where a staff member might help you find that shot-saving wedge that's been missing from your bag. One caution: Callaway can be an ear-blasting experience during the early mornings when private jets are jumping out of McCarran International Airport every few seconds.
